Web-Box is:

• Available for Linux (Unix) and Windows
• A 3-tier platform offering you the possibility to add methods to the server core
• Truly multiplatform
• A tool to build multilingual web sites and web-based applications
• A tool to build web-based business applications (Intranet)
• A tool to build process control equipment and/or workflow systems
• A real-time database optimized for web server or production operation
• A C-like HTML-extension with a script debugger.
• Standard PHP scripts and SQL databases can be integrated (Unix only).

The system consists out of one application server and N clients. Clients can be CGI, ISAPI or PHP(for web-based user programs or web-pages), and helper or driver clients. Helper clients can import/export data in the background, authorize credit cards or query data from 3rd sources (such as Email, Fax). They can also drive hardware, such as scales, POS equipment, or whatever.

Web-Box is a commercial product and not subject to GPL. There is also an OEM license available, which enables you to include sophisticated HTML user interfaces, scripting and database functionality in your embedded applications or custom web server.
